The Life of an 18 Year Old Girl

By Madeline Bisel

Guess what? My story changed. I am super sorry but at the same time I am not. I live a life that is full, but sometimes, not in the best ways. I am 17 years old, almost 18. I have three younger siblings, two dogs, a cat, and parents. Constantly, I am being pushed to do the best that I can be, and it is hard. I am pushed by my Thematics teacher to get my Logs in, I am pushed by my POD teacher to turn in missing assignments, and I am pushed by my Journalism teacher to have my stories in every week.

I just can’t do it. I am unbelievably stressed at this age and I really shouldn't be. I have asked for help, I have asked for extensions, but I can’t keep asking. I feel like I am drowning, in water, in burdens that won’t leave my body.

I am sorry. This story was originally supposed to be about my faith and love for Jesus I have but I just couldn’t do it. I am being weighed down by everything.

My name is Madeline Michelle Lyons Bisel. Like I said before, I have three younger siblings, two dogs, one cat, and parents. I work at Tractor Supply. I am also an intern at my church. I try to help out as much as I can around my house but sometimes I can’t. Oh, another thing about me is I so badly want to go into Youth Ministry. So you can already assume I want to go to college. I am a full time high school student trying to get my life together, so next time you look at me and say, “She does nothing.” Think again and put yourself in my shoes
